A set of four vintage German Dauphin office chairs featuring chrome tubular steel frames, beech plywood backrests and plaid upholstered seats. Produced for the European contract market and inspired by the functional language of mid-century modernism.
Reupholstered by Respect Your Elders in a timeless plaid textile sourced from Hertex, selected for both its visual warmth and exceptional durability.
The fabric carries a 44,000 Martindale rub rating, making it highly resistant designed for daily use, the upholstery was chosen not only to complement the chairs' late-modernist aesthetic, but to ensure they remain practical, comfortable, and enduring for contemporary interiors.

Wooden back rests in original condition as found Beech Plywood (Most Likely) Molded or laminated European beech veneer over plywood. Extremely common in German office & institutional furniture from the 1970s–1990s. Chosen because it's durable, stable, and economical for large-scale contract furniture production.
