SHIPPING POLICY

OTHER PROVINCES
 

We understand that shipping to other provinces can be a tedious process that may discourage your purchase. That’s why Respect Your Elders has made every effort to make this as seamless and convenient as possible.

We offer courier options at checkout—simply select your province and the corresponding rate will be displayed. Shipping rates are also listed in the product description on our website.
 

THIRD-PARTY SHIPPING SERVICES
 

  • Deliveries to other provinces are handled by our trusted third-party shipping partners.

  • This is not a private delivery service operated by Respect Your Elders.

  • Shipments go as part loads (shared with other furniture companies). This helps reduce costs but may cause unforeseen delays beyond our control.

  • Once payment clears, we’ll notify you of the scheduled departure and provide courier contact details.

  • Responsibility for shipping and delivery lies with the courier once the item leaves our premises.

  • Any queries, delays, or issues must be addressed directly with the courier (we’ll supply the agent’s details).

  • We are available for reasonable assistance, but we cannot control courier operations.

  • Please do not request specific arrival times/dates once you have received your waybill—we do not operate the courier services.

  • If you are not comfortable with these terms, you are welcome to use your own courier service.

 

USING YOUR OWN COURIER
 

If you prefer to arrange your own delivery, please select the "I WILL BE USING MY OWN COURIER" option at checkout. In this case, we offer the following:
 

  • Most courier services do not provide wrapping. We can professionally wrap your item for transport at an additional fee, which will be specified in the product description - Please then choose the "I will be using my own courier but require your wrapping services"

  • If your item is fragile (e.g. glass), please request extra padding. We will ensure it is securely wrapped with added protection. We will not take any responsibility even after adding extra wrapping/padding for any damages incurred while using your own courier.
     

INSURANCE
 

The responsibility for insuring items during transport rests with the buyer.

This is especially important for fragile items such as glass.

We can assist by wrapping these items with an extra protective layer at an additional cost.
If your courier has specific packaging requirements, please share those details with us.


Respect Your Elders cannot accept liability for any damage, theft, loss, or delivery delays once the item has left our premises. All deliveries are managed by independent third-party couriers, and we are not responsible for incidents that may occur in transit- Once you receive the Waybill the delivery is out of our hands.
